Die Serie der invertierten Landschaften zeigt traumartige Szenarien. Durch die Farbveränderungen sehen wir sie anders, sehen wir sie neu - der Fokus und die Aufmerksamkeit werden verschoben, der Inhalt verändert sich, obwohl das Gleiche gezeigt wird. In einer Zeit, in der wir alles erklären und berechnen können, alles gesehen zu haben glauben, führt Ivo von Renner uns vor Augen, dass das Mysterium nach wie vor existent ist - wir müssen nur die eigenen Sehgewohnheiten hinterfragen. Durch die Farbveränderungen treten die grafischen Strukturen der Landschaft hervor, verändert sich ihre Erscheinung maßgeblich, werden Details betont, denen wir sonst keine Aufmerksamkeit schenken würden.
